Siddharth attributes his less-than-ideal state of health to a bit of a rough personal patch. Here's a glimpse:
Tell us about yourself.
“I’m from Mumbai, but I’ve lived in Bangalore for the last 10 years. I’m a restaurant consultant and food critic, and I also blog.”
Was there a reason for your weight gain?
“There was a brief period of a year when I went back to Mumbai because I was going through a divorce, and that was when I put on the bulk of my weight.”
What’s your main drive to get fit?
“I was never convinced when people told me I needed to lose weight, until now. I always thought a great personality made up for it! But I’ve realized that I also need to feel good, which I’m not right now. It doesn’t feel good knowing that I can't buy clothes from any store I like. I've also recently entered the singles market after a very long time and it's competitive out there!"
What do you expect to achieve from The Transformation?
“My expectation is to just get back in shape – it’s been on my agenda for a while now. I’m guessing it’s going to be competitive! But at the end of the day, I also want to get out there and meet new people.”
